Select the Pen tool
from the toolbar
Make sure "Mask" is selected in the tool options
at the top of the interface
Select your shape layer
in the composition
Draw your desired bone structure directly on top of your shape using the pen tool
.
For a new mask re-click
on your shape layer
This will act as a control system for your shape layer, mask will be similar to bones or puppet pin.
One must be careful with angles that are too obtuse between each segment, as the deformation can cause certain points of the shape to jump
This can also be resolved by changing the influence of the concerned points to 100%.
And click on Mask Influence button
to import your asset:
First, the extension automatically calculates influence
based on proximity between shape points and mask points.
This automatic calculation provides you with a ready-to-use rig
that you can then fine-tune by adjusting specific points if desired.
Influence allows a shape point to be affected
by one or multiple mask points.
The closer the value is to 100, the more the point will be influenced by the position of the mask point with a similar value.
At 0, it is not affected at all.
Influence boxes
appear when selecting one or multiple shape points.
Simply adjust the values of one or more influence boxes linked to the mask points
.
They will then be affected by the desired mask points as a percentage.
Double click
on influence box for writing the influence
For more precise control, you can also click on a tangent
of the appropriate shape.
This will make it appear on its own, while other shapes and their points will no longer be selectable.
If you change the influences during the animation, it will affect the entire rig
across the timeline while preserving your animation
as you originally defined it.
In expression mode
, the influence updates automatically by default.
If you want to delay the update until after defining all influences, you can click this button:
Updates will be paused, and you can simply click it again to apply all changes.

You can modify your shape directly in the viewer by drag and drop the point or multiple points of shapes.
You can modify tangent of your point:
When you have no tangent select your point and just ctrl + click on the point
Move your tangent by drag and drop one point of the tangent
For moving an individual tangent alt + drag and drop the point of the tangent
To remove tangent select your point and ctrl + click on it
The "Initial State" button allows you to restore the original positions of the masks, which were recorded during the first import using the "Mask Influence" button. Any influences or shape modifications made afterwards will be preserved.
Only the initial mask positions will be restored, and a keyframe will be modified or added at the current time for the relevant mask(s).
